And We're Off!

Jon and I met with Alice, our social worker at LSS today. She's everything you'd want a social worker to be--kind, down to earth, professional. We've met several social workers while investigating adoption agencies, and believe me, some can only be defined as Old School. We'll be pouring our hearts out to Alice over the next few months, so it is wonderful to feel so comfortable.

Here is the first round of paperwork--87 pages! Most are front to back! As I dropped Jon off at work after the meeting, I told him I'd get it right on it and be done by the time he's home tonight! Just kidding . . . but I'm motivated to get rolling!


And this will be the document that will keep me up at night: our profile. Basically, this is a 24-page scrapbook that birthparents will look through to select adoptive parents. Yikes! Guess who is about to learn how to scrapbook!
