Very Quiet . . . Tick Tock

Well, nothing going on in our adoption world lately. We asked not to be updated on if our profile has been shown. So we're just waiting for that phone call. We're about as prepared as we can be but sometimes I have to remind myself that this is happening. And sometimes, it is all I can think about. And then I feel horribly guilty for being selfish for praying for our little family so much. Crazy, eh? I wonder if all expectant mothers feel this way? My friends who have adopted say that this is about the time you start to feel a little looney! My friend Jodie reminded me the other day that all of the 'looniness' and (sometimes) sadness just goes away when you have your baby. She seems sane, so I am going to trust she's right. ;-)

Jon and I had the best weekend. We had no significant plans, but we stayed busy by just spending time together. It was really all very domestic and wonderful. I know some couples book every minute of their weekends 6 months out, and that would so not work for us. Jon told me the other day to find us a cooking class. I'm so on that!

Thankfully, there are lots of distractions to keep us busy! The election . . . and let me just say, my mother would be so on the Obama bandwagon. He would soo be on her "Dinner guest" list. Politics aside, I can hear her hooting and hollering between Obama's speeches and The World Series. (Man, I wish I could talk to her on the phone. We'd have so much to catch up on.)

I'm rambling so it is time to close. Halloween is here . . . that means the Christmas decorations are out at Target. Yahoo.
