Home
Well, sweet Quinn has been home for 2 weeks now. Would you believe this is the first chance I've had to sit down and update the blog? Welcome to motherhood. It has been a very busy couple of weeks, but we're having so much fun. Quinn is changing so quickly. He's smiling now, cooing a lot, and boy is he strong! He can lift his head up using his arms!
I could write a novel about our experience. But I'll let the pictures tell some of the story. We are so lucky to have this little man as our son.
We started our drive north on June 25th at 7 am. We knew the TPR hearing was at 8:30. At 8:50, we received the call--"Congratulations! You are officially Quinn's parents!" It was amazing. This is Debbie, Q's bridge care mom. She took beautiful care of him. She said it was bittersweet to have him leave. (In truth, she cried a river!)
Quinn wore this special outfit home. Behind him is the afghan my mom knit for my 21st birthday. She had a special role in bringing him home.
Here we are, all ready to leave and make the 4 hour drive home!
All set to go! He was a trooper on the way home. Slept the whole way, and we made it in record time. Anything to avoid a feeding at a Culver's.
The Beduhn family decorated our garage and made Quinn this awesome cake. We ate it for him.
He's had lots of visitors, including Ama and Grandpa, and Great Aunt Donna and Uncle Sam.
Just a couple more shots hanging out at home sweet home!

I'm so happy for you both, he's adorable. I'm excited to meet him and I'm glad everyone is settling into the new family! So happy your adoption story has progressed so beautifully, it's wonderful to have another cousin to watch grow. Happy mom and dad-hood! :D
PS - I started an afghan a few weeks ago, and have been incredibly jealous of how well your mom knit. That afghan is so beautiful.
Awwww Quinn is absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy for you. Being a mother must be an absolute joy. Enjoy it.
What great pictures -- he's beautiful! Congratulations and welcome home.
I love the "Mighty Quinn" cake - how cute!
