No Matter What . . .

No matter what does or does not happen tomorrow, I have to just take a quick minute to be gushy.

This has been such a weird two weeks. This is not par for the course with adoptions--usually you are just called when you are matched with a birth mom. Now I understand why it is typically not done this way. I guess we're just being challenged to see what we're really made of! That's parenthood, right?

Yet again, I am so blown away by the kindness and love from our family and friends. It is humbling to have someone tell you that they are saying prayers, and Jon and I have heard that time and time again from loved ones and friends. All babies are wonderful blessings, and I am so over the moon to know that our baby is so anticipated and will be loved by you all. This may sound silly, but this was one of my great fears about adoption--that the child will always be looked at as "the adopted one." So thank you, from the bottom of my heart for your warm extensions of kindness and your supportive words.

So we'll see what happens tomorrow. Northern Wisconsin is getting a ton of snow tonight, so maybe the delay will continue. If this is meant to be, it will be. If not, we'll move on and look forward. My mom worked very hard to have a family, much harder than I. She's getting us through this, and I have to believe she knows the outcome will be worth it.

Ok, geez, enough schmaltz! I'm turning into a freaking drama queen. ;-)

And yes, I'm hoping to be able to make it to La Crosse in April! Sorry I missed the question about last weekend earlier. I wish I could've made it!

More importantly, I hope you can take a little time to breathe tomorrow! :) We're all praying about it and I hope you've got good news to tell us tomorrow.
